They seem like they have a pretty good argument with the heel release and everything you just wonder how they perform and if they work as well as they say they do. Definitely a very good concept though

the fact that those are only sketches of the bindings worry me. lack of pictures mean they haven't been produced yet and that means "real world" testing hasn't been done.

basically it's the exact same binding as the PX/Axial2 design from Dynastar/Rossi but looks a lot shittier

are you kidding me man did you even go past the first page of that website?  if you even read about hte product it is still in development stages and has yet to be produced.  all the pictures on the site are 3D models of the binding not actual working models.

I thought Line tried something like this - didn't the Reactor have a lateral heel release? Hopefully this one works better. I thought the turntable/pivot heels just increased elasticity which reduced prereleases or something like that and weren't meant as a new release direction.

the original looks had turnable heels, that design didnt last very long (althought the fks models are fucking sick)

the line reactor bindings didnt last to long with their lateral release. they lasted realllll long...

the only thing i can think of now that are still selling w. lateral release is the fischer x14\

hmmm, i wonder how long this company is going to last?

the guy in the video popped out of them just by putting pressure on the heel. idk if this was because its shitty or if its just to show how they come off. i have a question though, does it have a separate spring/din for the lateral and regular release? because that seems to be the only way it could work. with some more testing i think it could be a good binding

companies like that just piss me off. Im sorry but i could have made that website in my 8th grade computer class, and come one now "Solomon"? You are trying to market an overpriced binding and you cant even spell your competitors name right on your website, the company looks pretty half assed, I would never buy anything from them and thats without looking at any of the details about the binding. I think they need to rethink their marketing strategy.

Look at the stand height. Not exactly low profile bindings if you ask me.
I think this is more for someone with ruined knees, and they just want to keep skiing. There was a thread on TGR, and the engineer behind the binding was really good about explaining everything. It seemed like he understood really well why the other bindings that tried to do lateral release failed, and he feels he's corrected them.

I'm for the IDEA of this binding. I won't be buying, but I think we need companies trying to incorporate lateral heel release. The more it gets tried, the more mistakes will be made, lessons learned, but overall we need to make progress towards reliable bindings with lateral heel release.

A binder is panels of cardboard laminated in vinyl and assembled to resemble the cover of a large book. Binders are used to protect and organize high school assignments. You can also use binders to display stickers of the brands of ski gear that you use. Having ski brand stickers on the outside of your binder will immediately let the other students in your high school know that you are an avid skier.

I actually ran into the guy that designed it at some mexican restaurant in slc last season. He saw my skis on top of my car and started asking me about my bindings like he was curious or something. Well after I explained why i liked them (thought i was talking to some gomer), he told me he was a binding designer and BOOM busted out a little promotional sheet with a rendering of the binding and some slogans about how it was safer for knees. He explained that he'd been in the industry for years, helping design bindings for look and salomon. He was explaining all the mechanics of knee injuries and how normal bindings have a blind spot to the forces that tear acl's in forward twisting falls. He said they had been testing prototypes for 2 years with big "200lb" exracers (He let me know that he too was a ex-racer, and had done quite well at nationals in his day) and that the things stayed in one piece. Anyway, he was a pretty chill guy I guess, seemed like he was legitimately well informed, but I don't think I would buy the bindings, especially if they're 500 bucks.

i dont need shit for bumping an old thread so...yea
last weekend i was in VT and they had the kneebinding at Ski Rack. they are extremely lightweight, because they are made from what looks like very cheap plastic.  i can see them breaking real easily.  i didnt see a price but i was surprised that i saw them.  they do not look very good. the plastic is like toy quality.

my shop got a few pairs of these in a few weeks ago, and In my opinion they feel like total trash. They're completely plastic and look horrible. They are lightweight though. They work in a way that there are specific right and left foot bindings so that the lateral heel release only releases outwards. Its a good idea, but the din is only to 9 and they don't feel durable. I guess it shows because we have yet to sell a pair. I think they're better for older people who don't ski hard and have bad knees.
