I took my skis to the only shop within a hours drive. I had a pair of this years JJs and last years Dumonts to get mounted up. I also had to get some new boots. This was a bitch cause my feets are truely impossible to fit. Anyways after 6 hours and many boots shoved onto my feet, I found a pair that were the closest to comfortable. But this isn't about the boots, sorry I lost my spot. This is about my skis!
Now I've realized you could skip that pointless paragraph but too bad. Now to the point, The shop guy messed up the mount on my skis. I had a nice florescent green line drawn were I wanted them mounted. How hard can it be mount on the green line, call my cell with any questions. Apparently thats too hard. Thank full it was only one ski that he mounted wrong (not too sure of the details of how he managed this).
Anyways, I now love my shop because of the options they gave me to remedy this problem. They took full responsibility and gave me the following options:
1) replace my skis and mount the replacements for free. (Catch to this one is that it's unkown how long it will take to find a replacement pair)
2) Fill in the unwanted holes, remount properly (at no charge) and pay for my boots. Keep in mind that these boots are running me $650.
3) Fill in the holes, remount for free and guarrentee the skis for the season and at the beggining of next season hook me up with a new pair of skis.
NOW heres what I'm asking of you. Tell me what you would do if you were in my position. And I suppose a MAJOR factor to consider is that I paid $215 for the skis over the summer.
