So I was up at my local resort (Bridger Bowl) today and i had one of the better days that ive ever had skiing. For some reason, things panned out perfectly. It was 25 degrees, bluebird, good buddies, and knee deep cold smoke. And as i got back down to the car i realized something. Each and everyone of us, is extremely privelaged. Less than 2 percent of the entire world has ever ridden a pair of skis, and luckily everyone who is reading this is part of that group.
I think that people take skiing for granted, the fact that we are able to afford to be able to ski at all is perhaps one of the best gifts we could ever recieve. It is an outlet for an infinite amount of passion and excitement. So next time your up on the hill, stop for a moment and think what life would be like without skiing. It will make that next run seem like the best you've ever had.
