Empire Mittens

Has anyone tried Empire's mittens?  Are they warm / sturdy / waterprof and everything a good mitten should be?   +++ k for good answers

Saw em in a new ski mag (dont remember which one, powder or freeskier), and they looked aiight.

Checked em out online and realize they look like total pieces of shit, esp for $78.

Simon Dumont could write EMPIRE on a piece of dog shit and people would buy it.
