We are def trying. The snow we were moving is now in the base area around the lift. The coverage is def not there at the moment. About 10 kids were hitting a rail and bringin it down to dirt.
It's enuff for a few jibs (that a few people hit), but not enough for crowds just yet. Make the 1" forecast turn into 10" please.
What we are doing is trucking snow from our parking lots into the tubing area and into a spot near the lodge to offer a rail park and self propelled tubing this Friday and Saturday.
It'll be open 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on both Fri and Sat. Also open will be the Ski and Sport Shop, Clearing Rock Bar and we'll be grilling up food outside.
If you have a season pass the snow fun will be free, if not it's just $5.
In regards to opening day, we're still looking at a warm forecast without much snow in the short term. As soon as we get better news we'll let ya know!
The final setup is TBD until Hames gets to start pushing stuff into place tomorrow night. From talking to him today I'd say between 5 and 10 features.
We have harvested EVERY parking lot to make this happen. Took a week of plowing, bucket loading, hauling, dropping, and grooming.
See ya Fri.
