So I got ACL surgery like 4 months ago. Today I was waking down some stairs and like rolled my ankle a little bit and it made this weird sort of popping/sliding sensation and scared the shit out of me. It doesn't hurt and seems fine but I'm worried because I know that there aren't any nerves in a new acl. Does anybody who has re-torn theirs know what it is like to do this? AKA what are the odds that I'm fucked.
My girlfriend tore her acl a few years ago in a big air comp, then 5 months later, before she was supposed to ski again, she decided to slide a c box and she came off early and hyperextended her knee. She knew right away she was fucked. She said it didn't hurt when it happened but it was the same feeling she had the first time she tore it. She said it hurt afterwards though, but it could have just been because of the whole hyperextension thing....... dont know if this helps.....................................just get if checked out...........
Yeah definitely full range of motion. I'm worried that there is a little bit more swelling but I think I'm just being neurotic. Also I think it feels it did pre accident but I'm not sure. I'm just so worried that I may have just said goodbye to my ski season that I may be being stupid.
Hey man i know where your at. I hyperextended my acl a couple months back and i was super depressed for a while. All of us fools here at NS will be sendin out those good vibrations for your knee. Just stay positive buddy. Also, use as much ice and ibuprofin as possible and you will be back in no time.
