Im having trouble doing rails that u have to come in on the side.  i was trying a down flat down box and came in on the right side and would keep moving on the boxand fall off the other side near the end.  other than just having more surface is there any difference in doing it on rails or boxes, technique wise?

their is no difference between a rail and a box when it comes to technique except that you have a little more grip on a rail. i think that you are coming in to the rail whit too much of an angle . try to aim for the end of the box/rail , look at the end of the box/rail instead of looking at your feet or where you are going to land on the feature.

ive seen people do this, and often yes^ it is the angle. try to come more front on



if you cant, try to grab with your right foot (if its the front foot) as if you were goign to front 270 out. that grabbing of the rail/box will keep you from slidding off the other side, and you will be able to throw a swup or 270 out and make it look better than just straight riding the rail. its what i do a lot of the time to get used to gripping something, then i move to heading more straight on and trying blind stuff.

i should have said gripping instead. i meant gripping the rail with the edge of your ski. obv you dont grab your leg while riding a rail...lmao
