PE's and Mounting Bindings

I just got a call from my ski shop and said that they mounted soem looks and siad that the brakes don't fit cuz teh skkis were to wide so they need to make some brakes, did that happen to anyone else.?

it is possible but the people at your ski store should know about that and not be stupid enough to actually mount them not knowing if they fit or not

Ya they are pretty dumb but they are the only shop in town that carries pe's

They're pretty dumb. I just got my PE's (with P12's) back from the shop today. No problems there.

Its no problem man, my bindings were too small but they can either bend them a little bit or just buy wider brakes.

ya dude that's what they said they'd do
has anyone had any problems with a pe/look combo like bindings ripping out of the ski

No, my looks stayed in pretty tight all season. Dont worry about the brakes, just get em bent. I dont know why the binding manufacterers dont realize that SKIS ARE GETTING WIDER!

i know one person who ripped bindings out of PEs. but that may be because he was skiing with his DIN at 22

No problem on mine.. They shuold be able to just slighty bend the brakes a little. That shouldn't cause any problems.. I think they just want some more of your $$.

i've got tyrolias bindings on my public enemies and i had to bend the brakes a little.

I just had P12's mounted on my PE's. They had to bend the brakes a little and shaved some of the plastic off the arms

i got mine with s912ti and the brakes suck. they always get stuck on the ski.
