Replying to Dead Set

While flipping through some vinyl I noticed something. I hope you all that are reading this are familiar with the album cover of Dead Set (Grateful Dead). If not- it's a vision of the the San Franciso sky line at sun down. Well, in the Foreground it shows the Golden Gate bridge and looking into San Fran. bay. And further into the midground there's the Oakland bridge....... and then the sunset in the background. Only thing is.... the sun doesn't set in the East. Anyone know if this was intentional?
