My dad just brought up the issue of getting insurance, in case I injure myself badly while skiing. Anyone have thoughts on this?

I have insurance, its pretty good to have cause i travel with my ski team a lot. Also if i ever need some cash i can always 'acidently' cut off my thumb or something. lol

Its a good idea seeing as how you almost inevidably get hurt while skiing at least once.

I would think it'd be stupid to ski without insurance...

9mm - they dont' live in canada - therefor, don't get free health care. So if they don't have insurance they gotta pay a few hundred just to get a hospital bed, plus all the other shit they gotta do to make you better.

One of the great things about living in Canada. I love free health care.

yeah, i didnt have health insurance for a while cause the dr.'s found out i had a heart murmer and they dropped me. it kinda sucked, i went thru a soccer season and ski season without getting hurt. good thing cuase i am pretty damn poor

My medical bills this year for a broken nose and finger totalled $15K, it would suck without insurance.
