Ski bible

So my roomate and I (InTheFade11) have been making a ski/snowboard bible?Qaran/Kabala/whatever and were looking for some input on what to put it in and thought why not ask the whole ski community. I wanna actually make this like a real book once its completed.

So far the main points we have are an emphasis on chi and what creates a positive chi for the shred gods and some stuff about shred "profits" and places that are holy and every rider must attempt to make a "pilgramige" in there lifetime.

Any input would be awesome and hopefully we can get this shit started, Thanks NSer's!

Right on keep the ideas flowing! I love the ten commandments idea and was thinkin of somehow combining them with like a 5 pillars type deal.

also, what kind of places are good, what foods enhance chi or chee or however its spelled, or maybe even a whole new word alltogether? Rituals and music as well. Thanks for the help, +k to both!

Im not sure if thats how its spelled, it sounds like "chee". and Im pretty sure it comes from buhddism. Don't hate, the snow gods may spite you!

you know like you're chi...It's more common in among asian beliefs I think...It's sort of like their soul, or spirit or essence I guess... or your spiritual well-being and balance. its supposedly located around you're abdomen too...that's why when you see old school asians committing suicide they stab themselves in the stomach...right into their chi...hope that helped.

There's gotta be something about taking a year off and travelling winter around the world, ski the biggest mountains and the ebst parks, shred some pow pow, huck some cliffs, spray some gapers, camping in the lot waiting for the first lift...anything that opitimises our best memories of teh sport.

Food is basically anything cheap, ramen, sushi, potatoes, bread, jam, canned produce...energy drinks (though the aren't cheap, they're regularly handed out by big companies, so freebies are good to)...there was a thread about this once.

And apostles? Everyone knows them, Olsson, Dumont, Hall, Fujas, Morrison, the guys who made the 1080, Plake, McConkey, Reardon, Coombs, Bishop, Armada, Line, 4FRNT, ect.

once again the people that opitimise skiing

Great ideas! I especially like the one for a need of a back story and to incorporate some philosophy as well. Keep in mind this is for skiiers and snowboarders alike, so any ideas on how they came from different beginings or what not but eventually emerged as a whole that generally rides together and such would be appreciated.
