Wrong thread? Serato scratch is pretty cool though, I don't really spin so I cant give an expert opinion.

Torq has more options to do stuff with it, but Serato is much simpler and more reliable I believe. Simpler is usually better, and thats why pretty much everyone uses serato. Torq is cheaper tho.

word, its such a difficult thing to figure out given that i dont have access to use both and decide. ive been dj'ing with ableton and a mixer for a minute and working with turntables a while longer. it seems ableton has much better integration with torq. if i get torq i plan on running it through a seperate mixer and into the turntables and connecting that to my computer. serato seems better for hip-hop dj's and turntablists. this decision sucks, but i t hink im going with torq for now because of the price difference. persuade me otherwise?

YO fuck serato and torq, they were built for children. TRACTOR SCRATCH is the way to go... ive been DJ-ing since i was 14 (6 years) and that shit is legit.

traktor is the only way to go. serato only if you plan on getting two decks and doing the scratch thing. the new traktor pro just came out and it has a scratch pro version which is amazing. the effects in traktor pro are rediculous, theres so many combinations parameters to adjust. and torq just blows

Macbook 2.4ghz 2 gigs ram. I had a kaoss pad but for live use its really bad, You can never replicate the effect twice, well its really hard. Thats why the EFX is awesome
