some kids i know were talkin about dulling the edges on their skis. i just bought a new pair of volkls so should i do something to dull the edges a little and what should i use? i just dont want to mess them up before i even start using them.

But if you are going to blunt your edges know that you really should not ski on ice anymore you will kill yourself.
and make sure your skiing skills are up to it. It makes it much harder to ski normal slopes because you cna't carve it properly. but it makes rails much easier if that's all you want to do. Make sure you ski slowly at first because it takes a lot of getting used to.
I detune the whole ski for presses and because if you start coming of the rail a little you wont catch your edge.
Also a rubber stone works well and all of the above.
