haha here is the review. i have an ipod touch by the way and i have messed with other touch screen phones so that is what im going by. im coming from a samsung gleam (thin flip phone).
size/weight.
big, definitely bricky, but still "pocketable". reasonable to hold, although different from my little flip phone before. its fine, even in my scrubs.
screen
beautiful, my 2.0mp pictures from my old phone dont work well haha. video/pictures generally look sick. youtube looks like shit. there is a gap between screen and case that makes me nervous. no problems yet. looks better than the ipod touch of mine, although the gap is a little disconcerting.
typing
im already much faster than my old phone, mostly because even in portrait i can type with two fingers. the clicking definitely is a plus, i cant type that fast on the ipod not knowing if i have touched too many things or not enough. accuracy so far is similar, although better with the blackberry i think because of the clicking. there is one huge gripe with the typing though. the bottom corners, particularly the bottom left is super hard to push down. i think i have already gotten used to working around it, but its still super gay. the whole thing is probably still slower than a regular bberry, but faster than iphone
work-a-bility
so i dont think any storm user has gotten to the bottom of this phones functionality. and seeing as that im not a power user, i will never use it to its full potential. it is cool to get a hold of my dad in dubai with ease though. i have also been able to have email convos with my girl in ohio (who is on sprint and has the instinct). pretty much this thing is a major workhorse. the phones ability is sick, no one denies/or doubts it. you are all already know whats up.
camera
i should have uploaded a picture but there are some at crackberry to look at. its REALLY nice. it does seem a little bit delayed and hard to use. more like a real camera though, as compared to a camera phone. so thats not really a monster gripe. i have not tried video yet. damn.
here is a test picture. not sure why the fuck its upside down.
service
service is fine. good like all verizons phones. better than my last phone
data/net
its fast. i dinked around on youtube and stuff, the web is harder to get used to than the wifi on my itouch. to be honest, even after i get used to the blackberry, i think i have already passed judgement and have decided that the itouch is easier and better to browse the internet with. that sucks, because thats a big deal with me, and the blackberry would totally crush the ipod/iphone in my books with a better browsing experience. its not that its bad on the storm, its just not itouch intuitive. for example, navigating newschoolers on my ipod is a scary experience. i wouldnt even try with the blackberry. its still fine though for all intents and purposes, and data speeds are fast (not wifi fast...grumble)
misc
battery life is sick, customizing is easy and useful/sick, included accesories are useful and good quality, and wow factor is cool.
concerns
concerned about the crack on the sides of the screen. i assume pocketlint will eventually build up and reduce the effectiveness of the clicking mechanism. this will be the first phone i wont put in my jacket when i ski. i seems durable, but its just not a simple flip phone. my guess is that it would break from the impacts and condensation. another sad negative in my book. other than that im very excited to start down this blackberry path.
any questions ask away. sorry but i cant really cliff note it.
