after i post the link in a forum, my signiture becomes the link. i have noticed that it is only when you do the html for the link to open in a new window. i have also noticed that this happens to others as well. i looked in help, and i searched for similar topics and i didnt find an answer. are we doing something wrong?

Yeah the help directions are actually kinda wrong. You need to add a </a> after your link text.
