my buddy and i started a website for about a year that became a pretty big deal on campus because we would make the ridiculous news posts and shit that everybody would read for fun during class (everyone had school-issue laptops for internet)
anyway at one point we decided to make forums, and that was a huge hit, but it got out of hand because we didnt moderate it almost at all. eventually some kid decided to make a thread about potential senior pranks because the school was making a huge deal about how we shouldnt do them that year, and someone jokingly suggested a bomb threat would be a good one. well that blew up in our faces, so to speak, because the principal had been monitoring the site for a couple weeks to find a good reason to bust it for all the ridiculous shit that had been posted recently (fake nude photo shoots, drunk moms grinding all over our guys at house parties, etc) and we all got dragged into the office for it.
there were so many guys deeply involved at that point that the disciplinary hearings had to be lumped into one big meeting to save time. 25 of us in one room with the principle and the headmaster. long story short, by that point we had heard that they had enough to kick us out, but we were pretty sure that since the bomb thing was obviously a total joke then everything else was just bullshit. my friend and i who actually started the site had a pretty good laugh as they went around the room accusing everybody of everything, and we got out of it with a bit of school-enforced community service. it was like a week before graduation though, so they sweated us pretty hard, but we still had a great time with it and today when i run into people i barely knew from high school they still bring up that site and talk about how much they liked it, so it was pretty rewarding.
