Replying to Season in Canada / Kimberley

HI,

I am going to spent 5 month in Canada, B.C., Kimberley form february to July. I would like to go skiing there and I ask myself if you can Ski there longer than  the normal season. In  Kimberley season ends in the middle of april. But the mountains are higher than in Vancouver an it is not at the sea like Vancouver. The season in Vancouver is the same. Isn´t is possible to ski longer in the Rockies (Kimberley), maybe to build jumps on  the rest snow after the season. Thank you very much for answeres!
