In the Kicking Horse/Golden/Columbia Valley/BC/etc area?
Come check out Kicking Horse Resorts new events and happenings this season. Such activies go as followed.
New Years Eve Celebration - Dec 31st – Rail Jam, parties, fireworks
Snow Demo Extravaganza - Jan 17th and 18th - Rail Jam, other fun activities
Wrangle the Chute - Feb 7th and 8th – Big Mountain event. Ski some chutes with man made features and ride a bull at the end
The Dogtooth Dash - Mar 28th - Touring event
More information to come. Dates subject to change and I am not sure about regristration on some of these events.

as we have discussed a few times, i will be in your area in january, however not on any of those date. do you know of any big mountain events at revy or kicking horse or somwher between 19th jan-27th???????????????????thatd be cool

As far as I know, no.
I don't know any of revelstokes plans this year.
and Reds competitions will all be wrapped up brfore you arrive.

why does kicking horse open so late? the snow looks great now, let alone another two weeks.. but opening day is like 3 weeks away.. I CANT WAIT THAT LONG

We open later just depending on the snow level. cause cause it looks good, doesnt mean everythings ready.
The 12th is just the scheduled day, for the past couple years, we've been opening on weekends only just before. its seemed to do well
