for those of you who didnt see, i paddled 350 miles in Northern Canada and took 11 Days.

you didn't really have to do shit except steer and get away from the rock because you were headed down stream.  were you ever flipped over?  i seems like you had a great time.  i think that i will see if i can do that!!

ya it was the best time of my entire life.
and for the ur "just steer thing"
not true at all.
about 75% of the time it was flat river with 120 Degree weather.
the rapids are way to intense to simply steer, its way harder than it looks. and surprisingly, no tips.

not so simple. if you dont keep paddling the river could turn you sideways and flip you.

120 might be an exxageration for northern canada. i spend my summer on the northern part of lake superior never gets that hot

but yea looks like you had an awesome time!

nah dude. i know it sounds exxagerating. but im not.
u may be in Northern Canada, but we paddled 9 miles short of the Ocean.
We were well above the Arctic circle, which at night gets down to 16 degrees, and at arond 3 pm is easily upwards of 100.

the missinaibe is a great river, i paddled it a few years ago. how were water levels? it can get pretty slow then they are low. also, if thats the river you did, you were nowhere near the arctic circle and hudson bay isnt really the ocean. still a good trip though

right on, i had a friend who would go to summer camp like that in minnesota named widjiwagan or something like that, and they would go on canoe trips up through canada too.

i did it through outward bound in 2001. we went in august and youre right, it would roast during the day and frost at night. theres a railroad that crosses the river (maye you stopped there) and this small shack just off the river where an awesome old guy and his wife lived....they still there?

naw dude. we went all the way to Moosonee to get on that train. so ur talkin botu the Moose river Crossing?
Dang. u stoppd there?
we made it from there to Moosonee in like 4-6 hours. it was crazy.

no fucking way i went on a canoe trip in northern canada for 11 days this summer to
english river, most amazing rapids ive ever run
was the river mad high for you? cause all of our portages were washed out and we had to trailblaze a 2 miler, and shoot some class 4, 8 ft. standing waves

ya man, water was mad high.
Highest its been since 1917.
No joke.
We had 3 miler, down through the waterfall-canyon on the Miss, and woah, it was alllll mud.
it was insane.

ya ther wer some 5's. and there wer some mad Rooster tails. if you are done with the day, and dont mind tipping, then those are rad as fuck.coolets part was going down a set, and at the bottom, on the side of the river ,there were like tons of wrecked canoes that didnt make it down. and for how far we were out, if you wreck a canoe, and only have on, consider yourself dead, honestly.
Next yeaar we are goin on another James Bay trip, the Ground Hog.
and then after that, the Hurricanaw. hardest shit up there.
should be intense.
