Can't update itunes...help?

I haven't been able to update itunes for quite some time now because it says the old copy of media player cant be removed (it requires media player)

anybody experience this error before?
i tried uninstalling the entire thing and then re-installing, didnt work.

format the C drive?

im not sure what you meant, im no computer buff but im not comp illiterate either

basically I suggested that you delete everything on your computer.

i had the same problem, and i used this think called windows installer cleanup utility. before you do anything though i would back up your music.
