climbingskinsdirect go up to 145 and also use double rings for twins. I can't see needing anything more then that because your contact area is more then enough to give you traction
thanks for the imput i did find out about the skins direct page before i put this up but i was wondering if there was anywhere else. i would like them to be 160mm tip and 140 waist but the reason i dont want a 140 or 145 skin is because i no from experience they do slip on the steep inclines but now i realize theres no skin wider that i know of so i think im going to order a pair from the direct website. Thanks again.
there's a pic of pollard bootpacking with his huge skis (with skins on) and you can clearly see there's a lot of leftover surface area.
normal retail black diamonds go up to 140, while g3 and marker (yes marker makes skins now) go to 130mm. if you want bigger, you're going to have to special order.
