Little edit from cable cam Fabrication

Today i spent a fiew hours making a cable cam. Its a verry simple easy design i need to do alot more testing and working but this is a easy working model to start with.

ps. dont mind the horrible white balance i had one of my riders filming.

craig, you are a baller. But you are also a gwedo (sp?) becuase you bought a jagerbomb in montreal, most likley wearing an american eagle polo. But its ok, becuase when you build shit like this it makes up for it

yeah thats real sick... im doin the same thing but with wood pieces. it will maybe lack a little of the stability, but will be cheaper/easier to make and should get the job done. i noticed u had some sort of ratchet at the end to tighten the wire, wanna explain how thats attached a little. I was just pulling the cord as tight as i can but as u can imagine theres still sag problems to work with

So i was the filmer that cant figure out how to white balance haha but this whole project took around 3 hours at most.  The ratchet at the one end is a come along from a Big truck bed that he racheted down.  We used plastic coated cable but a good length of rope will be cheaper/ more versitile(when we put on the cable clamps it kinked the cable so there is gunna be a bump in it for the next time we use it if its going to be longer then what was done in the vid above (only a little more then 1/2 cable we got)  If your handy with tools and have access to a good shop i would deffanatly say its a doable project

One jegerbombs are awesome u will learn this when you turn 17.

Two i bought them for everybody to get the night started off right which it was definatly a crazy night.

Three the cable is impossible to get tight without some kind of a ratchet strap or winch of come along. (I tried ) . I put a I loop in one end of the cable which the ratchet hookes to the further you go with the cable the tighter you need to stretch the cable to get sag out of it. This was about 70 feet or so we have a 100 foot cable. main issue is that when we clamp the opisit end of the cable it puts a small kink in the cable and i am worried this will caus a bump in it when we go longer on the next one we will find out tho.

Four the wood will work fine i am sure we used aluminum because i suck at working with wood and aluminum is nice and strong and light. and free :)

im still a little confused with the ratchet biz. I just cant picture how it would be set up... I get how you would do it with a single end but I'm not sure where it would attach to causeing this kink in the wire??

One end loops around a tree and you use a cable clamp to clamp it to itself. the other end you loop like the last two feet and clamp it back to itself again so u have a loop or eyelet then the hook of the come along goes in there and the other end goes to a tree or whatever and u ratchet it tight

I definatly hope to get it up there its going to be hard to film jumps with it but hopefully we will get a fiew that come out well.
