Health question?

In early september I had mono. My spleen got enlarged and I went (electrition) to work two weeks after the mono. I had internal bleeding and almost had my spleen removed, because i hurt it pulling heavy wire.

So I was told not to work for awhile so it heals. Well I waited until this Tuesday and went back to work. So I waited 5 weeks and the doctors said I could work. Now today, I was working and got the pain again. Im now deciding wether or not to have my spleen remove. Im just wondering what people would do,and wont decide my decision based on yours.

Would you have your spleen removed in this situation?

i would talk to my doctor

we dont know shit about stuff like that

ask us where chads gap is not if u should have your spleen removed

Haha. It's just your spleen. Get that shit outta your body so it stops tripping you up. Recovery will definitely more than a month but the incision they make these days for spleen removals is pretty small. I'd just do it so you don't have to keep worrying about it. But obviously you need to talk to your doctor and talk about your specific case.

get your spleen out asap and start the recovery process now so you can be healthy when ski season peeks. my friend got his spleen out at the end of the last school year...I think it was about a month, maybe two, before he could return to all regular activities.

I dont ski so it isnt a problem. I had to stop skiing last year because of a fall, and now I have a full time job and bills.Cant really afford to ski anymore. But, for everyone, I know I should ask a doctor, but thats not what im asking you. Im simply asking what you would do? Your answer has no bearing on my decision.

O and in case anyone cares, I have a cat scan at 9 am. Im kinda pissed about the timing of this, Friday night big party, and then wednesday night im supposed to be hanging out with a new lady.

cat scans are annoying, but not as loud as MRIs at least...and not nearly as long and cold as a bone scan. but that sucks that its so early
