pro skiers ever get hurt?

i was out the other day doing a 540 and broke my collarbone. i got to thinking that pro skiers do tricks waaay harder than that yet you never hear of them breaking anything. im talking about park skiers only mainly. people like jon and tanner.. do they hurt themselves often and you never hear about it or do they just not hurt themselves

Guys are always getting hurt. Skogan was out, JF, lots of guys get at least a little hurt, and some miss whole seasons.

Yah, JF broke his collarbone 3 times in a row. So they do get hurt from time to time.

Heath Ordiway blew his ACL earlier this year, Tufflemyer tweaked his knee and had to ski flats for a few weeks, and I'm sure there are countless others.

Last year Jon had to wrap up his knee because he blew it out pretty bad but he could still ski in the X games Big Air

lots of pro guys break/injure themselves. for example this is a group of guys that ski together up in Whistler...I'll list their injuries:
rex thomas broke his foot; mauro broke his collar bone; reedy blew his knee; rob demontigny dislocated his shoulder; oakley fucked his ankle; austin ross broke his arm; turpin dislocated his thumb; nate (natedawg) broke his leg;.....i know there are more. but these are just a couple examples of pros who have gotten injured.

yea, so lotsa pros hurt themselves. i think you just don't hear about it and they don't necessarliy want ppl to know they hurt themselves..... esp sponsers. if a company knows u are hurting yourslef then they won't wanna sponser you as readily. iv also heard that many pros have to do a lot of physical therapy (i heard that from a interview w/ sara burke). peace.

yeah im home..
actually, i took my arm out of the sling and brace off and was moving it around alittle then i could hear popping and i felt it moving around and stuff so i tied myself back up again cuz i dont think that should be happening. doesnt really hurt much now..i guess its the drugs they gave me :). yea alot less pain than sunday..thank God that was a nightmare.
btw my parents thank you guys for sticking around and helping me out. so do i, thanks

no, i dont think they are human. or maybe they just dont tell s when they get hurt, so we dont even realize they are hurt...if like tanner isn't talked about we'll forget he exists...maybe....or maybe not. i wish i didnt' get hurt. i'm scared of acls

Yea everyone gets hurt. pros hurt themselves all the time. it is just about trying to hurt yourself as little as possible. it is totally expected to miss at least part of the season due to injuries. that is how this sport goes. everyone crashes. and yea everyone gets hurt from time to time.

Think abou this: Many guys hurt themselves once they are already categorized as pro. Some guys start making it big and then hurt themselves and a out for seasons, or more. These guys are some of them: Mike Laroche, Rory Silva, Clint Fiala and there are many many more that I thought about a couple of days ago but now can't remember. Detective, help me out. By the way, I just wrote that in a cast on my right arm.
