and all I got was exactly what I asked for.
They had the skis I wanted at the price I wanted. I read all the same old threads using the searchbar here and I decided to go for it. Here's what happened.
After reading all the trash talk, bad experiences, good experiences and multiple threads on Getboards I deicded to contact Getboards directly.
In many of the recent threads bashing getboards in the archives, Tony the owner of Getboards, spoke up to defend and instill faith in his company. Going as far as giving his direct email out on the interwebz for potential customers to contact him directly at tonys@getboards.com
So I contacted Tony. He responded same day multiple times to answer all of my questions about the item being in stock, size verification, newschoolers15% discount, and holding the item for up to a week while my check cleared. He did all of this no problem.
Once my order was placed the skis were shipped next day with free Fed-Ex ground and arrived 4 business days later at my doorstep. Exactly what I wanted at the price I was promised. And yes, their was also a free video inside.
So thumbs up to Tony and his crew. Some of you may have had legitimate issues and I understand and feel for you. Some of you I am sure have never even shopped there and are just following what others say like sheep. And that's fine to if that's what you want to do. But with a little effort on my part I was able to have a pain free transaction and I am sure any one of you could as well.
So to all of you not sure of getboards reputation, but you want their product, do yourself a favor and just send Tony an email and have a little faith.
