i swear people are getting super worked up about this ad campaign just because the media is hyping it and TELLING THEM they should be super worked up about it.

honestly, it doesnt seem any more ridiculous or annoying than any other car commercial ever.

im more irritated by the way idiots are making such a big deal about this commercial than i am by the commercial itself. anyone agree?

hey asshole.  toyota used to have some solid ads.  Like the one with the meteor or the one with the psycho ex-girlfriend rolling his truck off the cliff.  those were great.

Such a good ad from an marketing perspecive though. That jingle is burned into everyones mind and either way its got people talking about it.

"That 'Saved by Zero' commercials has been driving me crazy. If you haven't seen it, the commercial has a bunch of Toyotas being shot towards the screen while the phrase "Saved byZero" is sung over and over. The "Saved by Zero" song has that indescribable quality of music being played by your neighbor that annoys the hell out of you just because it's constantly there drumming against your skull and there's nothing you can do about it. Apparently I'm not the only one annoyed by the commercial, because I read a story in the paper today and learned that the "Saved by Zero" song is a remake of a 1983 Fixx song. Fixx is one of those bands that already has a problem with not being remembered, and now they're going to be remembered in the worst way. It's not like when a new generation was introduced to Styx and Mr. Roboto through a VW ad. It reminds me of the time I was talking to an advertising friend about how much I hated Axe body spray for their ads, and she claimed that my simply knowing the Axe brand was big win for her ad company. I disagree that knowing about something only enough that you know you hate it is a win, but I guess that at this point The Fixx just needs the money to avoid getting jobs."
