.....And going to shoots (again to represent their product, and not always for skiing) sitting down for hours doing one interview, pushing themselves through injuries, cross season training (and dont sasy you dont think they do it), They will all be paying lots of taxes, settting up travel schedules for their whole year. Fitting in play and work is not easy, and making sure they aren't always playing isn't easy either. Um fuck, if I ride at an icy contest and Im feeling sick the only one who is going to care about it is me. For a pro or even an AM for that matter will be worried about how their sponsor feels about them blowing off a contest. Like any job, you always feel secure in it until one thing goes wrong, then your starting to fear for your job. Its a career to them and you know it. Its just because you said one thing without thinking about it for a little more than 10 seconds and now your defending your ignorance. Thats why it takes about 10 -15 seconds for the page to load before you can type out what you think in the message box. Skiers (all of us) are very hard workers and we all know it too, albeit we do have soo much fun doing what we love we lose site of the fact that we are working hard. Its the same with any career, if you love what you do, then its less of a job to you and its more fun, at the same time its going to make you work your ass off to continue to do what you love. I hope you like that job you've got now, you might be there for a while. If you have a career, then you understand what Im ranting about.
Woo, big rant. I welcome all your hatred you can aim at my name.
