Red flare?

does anybody know how to do a red-orange flare thing

example, at 0:57

by the way, i'm using snoy vegas 7 and a canon gl2.

the effect is called a film burn.

umm you could do them in a couple different ways. you can film a candle super up close and lay the footage on over top and bring the opacity down. and add a dissolve at the start and end.


or search like fotosearch film burns. someone posted it once and i got a torrent for a whole bunch of ready made ones, no clue where they are now though.

You usually only see them with people who actually use film to record video. But like ^ said, you can find filters and shit.
