I bought some 171 T-halls with Dynastar PX15 Racing Jibs, I am 5'9" 150 lbs, 80% park 20% pow, i can manage with the ski in pow, but what i'm asking is if should keep the Px or should i replace them with Jester, i can get them for 50% off.
Those were my thoughts also, so i went to look it up and i found out that its the Big Trouble Binding, I think that Bibby has them mounted on his moments in Freeskier Buyer's Guide, not sure though, but it turns out the racing jib is a binding
id personally lean toward the looks, they have a lower stack height, and in the opinion of my 65 year old boss who knows more about bindings than any of us, "look has the best toe on the market right now."
I don't know why you would make this thread unless there was something wrong with them. If you're getting unsatisfactory performance out of the Looks, then look elsewhere with bindings. If not, be happy with a sick set of clamps that you already have.
keep the px on the t-halls, buy the jesters and another set of skis. if you cant afourd that dont switch bindings unless they are broken. no point to redrill a ski for no reason
Yeah, i might get a pair of HB's or JJ's for big pow days, the t-halls might have to get re-drilled anyway since The were mounted for a 330 bsl and i use between 300-310 depending on whatever boots,
i believe the pressure it takes to break the human femur coincides with a din of 13.
put that in your pipe and smoke it. why the fuck are kids riding/buying 16/18 din bindings? i mean i understand if you are riding at 11, a 12din wont do you as good as say a 16, but seriously kid... you are 150 pounds and "kind of can ski pow"? are you serious? just go with a binding that isn't trendy and wont break your leg.
The binding came with the skis jackass, and i was wondering if i should get the jesters since the lowest setting is 6 (i ride on an 8 din), and the px 15's lowest is an 8 din, and if i dont mess up the jesters this year or the next, i can reuse them on a pow ski later on, i didn't say i was pro at pow nor a noob, I just don't ski it as much as park which is what i meant when i said that i can manage the 84 mm waist 171 skis in pow.
I dont think this is true at all, but i tend to agree with the rest of this fellow's argument. unless you need a high din binding ie. you are heavy and/or tall, and/or and expert skier, dont use one. px15's are an amazing binding.
