Marker bindings too high over ski?

just realized that with marker bindings you stand 23mm over the ski, compared to salomon bindings where it's just 17.5mm! is this a disadvantage on markers? or don't u  feel the difference?

i couldnt stand it, but it does help you get more leverage over fat skis, i guess its just personal preference

an extra 1/2 cm isnt going to be very noticeable if at all
