Fks possibly screwed?

okay so i bought a pair of fks course on here last winter/spring and my buddy got a pair a couple weeks ago and i was looking at his and noticed they pivot a lot harder then mine and that theres like a semi circle plastic piece on the back of the round part that floats in there and mine doesnt have it.... so im wondering if im gonna premature with these since that piece is missing or if its not gonna make a difference and i can get shitty webcam pictures if you like

pics would probly help, but are they both fks 120/155/185? i know that the fks 120 is slightly different but thye also may be different generations of the fks. you will probly get a better answer from someone else. just trying to help

never heard of anyone not using the semi-circle piece but it holds the brakes from going back too far and it kinda holds the spring in place

if it's the bit behind the binding, generally a different colour, like white or blue, bit of plastic, yo are fine without it, it just keeps the binding fairly stiff on the pivot so it's fine. But if they are missing that i would get them checked out to make sure the rest is fine.
if you aren't happy with them then I will sell you some 155 heels for supr cheap, they need brakes but are fully functioning apart from that.

Some of the older FKS's have a plastic "half moon" piece as it gets to be called. The plastic ones break. They replaced them with metal ones on the new FKS's. I don't know where you can get new ones but I know some people have had luck buying new ones from Rossi. I skied on a pair of FKS's missing one of them for an entire season and had absolutely no problems with the binding, it only really keeps the brake from coming all the way up to 90 degrees and gives you a slightly longer platform for the boot to sit on. You might be able to find replacements on the TGR forums but if you can't don't worry too much.

to jolly guy it has that piece and to buddy above me thats what its missing and ill try to get pics in a couple minutes for anyone else that doesnt know what im talkin bout yet

This possibly isn't something you should try solving yourself you should take them to a look/rossi/roxy dealer and have them inspected/release tested.

oh if it's the little white tab with a spring underneath it all that does is stiffen the turntable and hold the binding in place so it doesn't slide around. seems like it will be fine but you'll maybe release easier if the binding's turning a lot
get them checked out by a shop

the tab is there but its the plastic or metal piece that puts the pressure against that so it doesnt keep the turntable as tight as its supposed to be so it just pretty much turns freely

oh that looks kind of important, kinda controls the turning, but i dunno, it may ski fine
