...who's been?

I'm thinking about doing a semester abroad in Copenhagen.  Just wondering if anyone's been there or to Denmark and can tell me about it. nice people? language barriers? anything really. I don't expect to be skiing much, but what's the closest skiing to Denmark?

any info would be great. +K

haven't been there myself, but met some nice Danish exchange students at uni. From what i understand most Danish people speak English as their second language so that shouldn't really be a problem.

Denmark neighbours sweden and norway so you'll never be short of snow...

I´ve been numerous times.

I live in Lund, which is a small university town in Sweden near the border. I takes about an hour to go to Copenhagen from here. It is a great town with great people and Danish people, like all scandinavians, speaks good english so that shouldnt be a problem.

Skiingwise you could either go to the alps which is between 15 and 25 hours by car. If you choose to go to Sweden or Norway to ski it will take you around 12 hours to find decent skiing if you go by car. The mountains are not as big as the alps though.

Copenhagen is a blast. You'll have a good time staying there. Sadly denmark is straight flat. Their highest peak is about 300feet above sea level. Also, the americans i know can't stand the beer, so it might take a while to get used to.

one of my really good friends is studying abroad there and she absolutely loves it. before she left she was trying to learn danish and it seemed pretty difficult but apparently she hasnt had muchof a problem with the little aomunt of danish she knows and mainly uses english. she goes out pretty regularly and says most poeple go to clubs and that they are insane so it seems like the night life is definitely good...

oh yea nad people wise.. she says the danish are really really racist.. but other then that she says they are pretty nice
