Advice on 4ftnt msp or similar ski?

Hey, pretty new to NS's..awsome site! Anyway yer i was just wondering if anyone could help me out with some advice on the 4frnt msp. Basically im looking to buy a pair of all mountain twin tip skis and after doing abit of research it seems the MSP's the way to go...so are these really as good a they all say they are for doing everything? and with the 22/26m dual radius are they still going to be alright in the bumps and on the icy stuff? I know i should really demo them, but living in the uk with no decent shops near by, it looks like im gunna have to head down the mail order route..

Also are there any better all moutain twintips, for about 20/40/40 park, powder, groomers?

I have a pair of msp's and i consider them the best all mountain ski on the market. You can bring em to the park, still float a little in the powder, and their so stable on groomers. But DO NOT buy them if your looking for a more playful ski, you can't find a ski much stiffer than the msp. I just prefer a stiffer ski for all mountain and therefore love the msp. If your looking for a more playful all mountain ski look into the armada arv, its also a great ski with similar dimensions to the msp only with a softer flex. Hope that helps.

i rode the msp at a demo day last year and it was rediculous, it shreds every where

they are stiff, super stable, and super solid. They perform well everywhere. They aren't absolutely incredible in one type of terrain but are very versatile and work well all over the mountain, on or off piste!

Yeah, listen to this man.

If you want stiff, for charging and stomping landings --> 4FRNT MSP

If you want softer, killer in the soft pow, fun in the park --> Armada ARV

Also, K2 has a new ski this year called the Kung Fujas. At 95mm in the waist, it is only 3mm wider than the MSP and ARV so it serves the same purpose. Like the ARV, it is softer than the MSP

fuck yea msp!! if you want more float but same verstility you can also go for the VCT

it would be a good choice if you like a stiffer ski. if you peffer a softer more play full ski check out some arvs. both would be a bomb choice

Yeah Skied my brother's MSPs last year a bit and loved them. Very good all mountain and can shred like crazy.

Ah cheers for all the advice lads! much appreciated! Yer im defiantly after a stiffer ski i can push harder and ski more aggressively on, so MSP's lookin good so far..
What are they like in the moguls though? i know theyre not going to compare to dedicated carver, but just as long as theyre adaquete that'll be sweet!
Thanks for the heads up on the other skis btw, ill check em out

Also been looking at the Scott Punishers, Volki Bridges and Line Prophet 90's (though not twintip?), how would you say the MSP's compare to these?

They are decent in the bumps, It is hard to get into a tight line though since they are fatter then most all mountain skis.  I have taken mine everywhere from BC to Bumps and they handle everything.At high speeds they are very stable and can hold a turn really well. On cruiser runs I have done some really fast wide GS turns and they held the edge really well. One problem is the top sheet likes to chip but really who the fuck cares.

Thanks for the info mate, that sounds cool, as long as theyre decent in the moguls, thats all im after. Haha yer im not really bothered about the chipping, just wack some stickers on or something if it does!

If you're doing a little more freeride / all-moutain than park skiing, you should also consider the Line Prophet 90/100 series. I have the prophet 90, and they simply kill it everywhere. This is a no limit ski, no matter how fast you go. If you like to ski 30-40% park or more, you should look at something softer like the Blend or ARV. The prophets have a metal sheet in them, it's a stiff ski.
