What's the best one? New SMM logo

These guys have been working their asses off trying to come up with a logo for the Ski Movie Music site. Now I want to hear what you all have to say about them.
Which one is the BEST?
Most distinguishable?
Worth making a sticker/shirt out of?

I think its damn good artistry but just not quite a logo...
Love the gradients and depth and shit though... He's a way good artist.

My favourite is the second one... That would fit on a t-shirt perfectly.

+1 To all those who are saying that none of them are logos... There's too much going on for them to be a logo. A logo is simple, not complex. Just look at newschoolers logo for example.

It seems that everyone has a different definition of a logo (which is totally way okay, don't get me wrong!). Whether it is stylized text or some graphic the ultimate goal is to create something that is very memorable. Something that quickly allows you to associate some company with what you see.

I have to agree that some of the best logos ever (apple, IBM, google, nike...) can be simple but also check out some of these:


...some are crazy complex!

Anyway, the point of this tirade is that I am super stoked to see what these guys have come up with. Anyone of the logos on this page would work great for the site and is a HUGE improvement to my initial slightly stylized text.

GOOD JOB EVERYONE!

...and to be totally honest I am going to have to think about it another day before I make my decision.

So until then tell me what one you like and WHY?!?!

i really like the blue version of #1, it doesn't really even need to say ski movie music, i like how simple it is and i would def buy a shirt with that logo on it

Finally, after much deliberation, we have figured out who's artistic skills will grace the front of our website. It wasn't an easy choice, as all of the final choices were well received. Ski Movie Music thanks you all for your opinions and and especially those that contributed designs.

For those that contributed designs early on to the thread that disappeared please contact me, we would like to give you credit for your contributions.

For those that made the final round how about $20 in iTunes/Amazon credit?
