The THC isn't addicitive but the 'high' feeling definitely can be.  And if your not addicticed it gets bumped up on your priorities.  How do you explain how professional athletes get nailed all the time for THC in their system?  You would think if they had a multi-million dollar job they would be able to put down the joint for a few years right?  If you smoke once a day or once a week, your addicted.  Thats the definition.

i've embraced the reputation as a stoner or pot head.  i get good grades and have lots of friends...some silly word doesnt really bother me, especially in denver, where almost everyone i know (minus a few girls) smokes

i smoked for 4 years and eventually just lost interest in doing it, i stopped enjoying the high, but ill still take a hit every now and then at the end of a night of drinking, all it takes is 2 and im fucking flying!

hahaha take it easy buddy.  Alright maybe I used the wrong word, lets use 'habit' instead.  I should have known that someone was going to go dictionary.com on my ass. 

Back to my point.  I have the habit of eating a few oreos after class everyday.  There is no chemical in oreos that make them addictive (that I know of) but I eat them everyday anyways.  Now lets say you smoke everyday, THC is not addictive. See the parallels?  Nether is going to seriously harm your body.  Pretty much the only difference is that when I go to get drug tested for my new job, they are not going to check my urine for the delicious cream center in the middle of oreos.  Therefore I would get the job and you would not.

And no, i am not a "degenerate DARE graduate weed slandering piece of shit" that runs to the police station evertime I see a joint.  I completely understand that weed is barely harmful at all and that its definitly not as harmful as alcohol or ciggarettes.  That doesn't change the fact that its illegal.

How many people here actually know someone that got caught and got "fucked"?
This kid at my school got busted in the school parking lot(the cops, not admin), and they just took his weed, and gave him a ticket. Didn't have to go to court or anything.

this question is a lay up. Have you ever heard of cancer? You are right when you say weed probably isn't as bad as cigs for your lungs/throat/mouth, but you STILL are breaking smoke into your lungs. It makes you cough, fucks your lungs up in the long run if you are a regular user. Also, when you smoke you get hungry and eat too much food and get fat and out of shape. Ok, now im ready to hear all the hate you guys are gonna throw at me

day to day I almost never smoke weed, but I get high pretty much everytime I'n on the hill. Getting high while skiing is one of my favourite things ever.

  I smoke everyday, 90's in higher level IB 12,play a bunch of sports and held down a 40 hour a week job this summer and even got a raise for working hard.  So ya im just a dumb, lazy burnout. Seriously though people just need to learn to accept it.

I am in no way a pot head but if its offered i will smoke. I didnt smoke until i was 18 and the only reason i tried it was because my dad told me that its fun to do every once in a while. o and my dads a cop.

Kids who say that just don't want other kids to smoke so hey can be the only ones who do and it makes them feel exclusive or something. If it wasn't worth it then they wouldn't still do it.
