so chromeo is coming to uvm and im trying to figure out if this will be a dance party like girl talk was, or just some lame electronic beats from some arab and joo. who has seen them and whats it like? worth paying 18$?

i would go in a heartbeat. i love them. plus, remixes of them are ridiculous. my friends best friend is cousins with the lankster (david macklovitch) which, yes, means his cousin is also A-trak(since david and alain are bros)

ive had more than enough of the two person indie-electronica outfits.

first it was daft punk, royksopp, and that was cool, i was into it.  then ratatat showed up, and ill admit, that was kinda cool too.  but why do we need 10 bands flooding the airwaves at once?  digitalism, mgmt, justice, chromeo, crystal castles, im sure theres way more but i would rather not pain my head to think about it.

please let them die already...its started to make me not want to listen to of montreal, and thats a damn shame.

theyre making some really good music right now. minus justice who is overrated and planisphere was horrible.

are you just against 2 person groups or what? many of the duos you named are pretty low key, and they're not flooding the airwaves. without daft punk, the electronic scene wouldn't be anything like it is now.

Also, David is actually currently doing a phd in french literature which is pretty cool. So yeah....now about it..

stop trying to be some hardcore hipster, just because justice's album was very successful and they are well known doesnt mean they suddenly suck. i hate how kids think its cool to hate good music once it goes mainstream, only metalheads do that kind of shit.

in my opinion, it was fun, but probably not worth 18 bucks. it was too short, and everything sounded the same. granted, it was mad fun, but if i knew it was gonna be like that before i wouldnt have paid as much

what are you talking about? i never once mentioned i dislike bands as soon as they get popular. with justice, i went to see them twice, when they were amazing. on a smaller scale, i just dont like how all those american apparel kids that think theyre so scene and go to justice... personally, i think planisphere (parts 1 to 3) was awful, along with their stevie wonder remix. i prefer to listen to music that not too many people know, its just my preference.

so, incase you misinterpreted what i said, i said i dont like justice anymore because the music theyre producing is not like it used to be...

i dont want the people to die in the bands haha.  i just think theres a few too many and ive had enough of them.  maybe its because i listen to satellite radio n they play it a lot.

i got no problem with two person groups. i just feel like its kind of unnecessary to have so many bands come out at the same time following the exact same formula.

and i love daft punk, for the record.
