so ive been trying to make a small edit with avi files but completely randomly i will get an error that says something like "unsupported file type or damaged file" when i try to import the avi clips... its totally random and not right because i know that the file type is supported (most of the other avi clips work) and none of the clips are damaged... like i said totally random so its just a few files out of all of them that come up with the error.
has anyone else had this problem? what should i do to fix it? ive heard a lot about how premiere pro doesnt like working with avi... but thats the file type that the footy is in so I need a different solution.

did you capture with premiere? i know you probably did but for some reason my friend didnt and he got that error.
ive got that a couple times too try just restarting your comp and reimporting. i dont really remember how i fixed it...maybe copying and pasting them to a different location?
if all else fails reinstall.

sorry for the double post but i forgot this
if you got this from a torrent there might be something corrupted in the program. download a trial directly from the adobe site and then just put your key in through there

i dont use cs3 but 6.0 and i get that message if during the export process something happens with my computer, like the internet freezes or something like that, I have to just re-export the file.
