there is a sweet pair of retro green salomon bindings on ebay, problem is, the max din is 9. i could ski wth the din at 9, but, is it bad to max out the din on a binding?

maxing out a binding is never a swell idea. you should always keep it at least two away from the limits.

especially on shit bindings, and if they max at 9, chances are they are shit, and thats why they are cheap

exactly.

and newer technology suggests that the new bindings can work just fine at extremes, but the likelyhood of something going wrong on them is still just as great as maxing out the old ones.
