sang is the past tense of a verb, to sing, it is not a thing, not something you would refer to as the ____. or a ____.      just like no one wants to know what the swam was.


or you were trying to type out song, but do the the unfortunate incident of a typo occurring typed out the word sang instead, an easy mistake seeing as how the two keys are almost as far apart on the key board as possible.
