aight so me and my friend are goin out west this feb break with my one friend family. but basically me and my friend can pick where we want to go cause the people taking us dont know much about skiing even tho they are solid skiers.
so...we want to go to a mountain that has lots of pow, good steeps, we dont want to ski park were goin for pow and terrain even tho a terrain park could be fun not a priority at all. also the mountain needs to have a good town (mom is a cunt), and some solid groomers for the dad. thanks +K

id say steamboat, crested butte, telluride, durango, and taos would all be good bets. all kind of off the radar and less crowded with nice towns. good luck :)

I hate to stomp on peoples ideas but telluride crested butte and mt baker etc are really not what you are looking for. Whistler or Jackson Hole would seem like good bets though. Both have interesting towns, lots of pow, and two of the gnarliest mountains out there~

Have you ever been to Crested Butte? It's actually a sweet town. It's a pain in the ass to get to as well as Jackson is though. Airfare to either of those places will be $$$$$$$. My vote is whistler, a two hour drive/bus ride to the mountain from YVR, plus 5000ft vert/8000 acres of sick terrain.

I havent, I know its a sick town and has suuuuuuper gnar terrain. I just know that it averages 300 inches a year, not a prime spot, and airfare to whistler is cheap and you dont have to fly directly into Jackson (Yes, that will fuck you in the ass pricewise)~
