Are blends a good choice?

so ive been jumping back and fourth about what skis to get. I will be using them out west, i currently ride mainly east coast and on a pair of 08 invaders and 07 chronics. I have narrowed it down that i really like skis that are soft so i can just play around and in pow i like them alot better than stiff skis cause you work way less. but when it comes to days with snow that isnt so great i love to hit up the park and charge on groomers. im curious if this ski is right cause its wider than im used to and i dont know what to expect.
i've ridden 178cm 09 mythic riders in crested butte (this is where ill be riding the new skis)
loved how the rode on groomers and steeps but tight trees were tough cause i was mounted so far back and in powder i think i would have more fun on something flexy.
im 5 9 and 145lbs.
- worried mainly about width and flex
any other suggestions are great. thanks a ton

If you accept the stiff flex, 178 blends will be PERFECT for you. If not, maybe the bacons, those are softer but wider.

how big of a feel is the width? i mean from what ive ridden as 90 underfoot to 115? and a 178 lenght to 182?

With 100 under foot you're gonna stay afloat it most pow with little effort, but not as easily in the bacons.
I ride the 06 07 blends any day on anything (90 under foot), but I also have a pair of EP Pros for powda days.
Blends will tear up anything. Especially this year's model, with a nice fat sidewall and that added width, it's a killer all around, with a bit of softness (compared to prophet 100) to dabble in the park and pipe.
