Ok, i need freeski definitions and ns history

so i know that this thread is an absolute fail by definiton. but i need help with vocab and ns history to understand what i am reading. please pm me if you know alot about ns history and freeskier terminology. i really do need help. and don't dis me, i'm just trying to learn. i've been freeskiing for a long time, i have just missed out on ns 'til now. thanks. again just trying to learn... please pm

It's long but it started many years ago when George Washington was skiing down Mt. Vernon when he hit a stump and turned "backwards" the term at the time, bending the back of his skis a bit. Then he did a railslide on his musket

hahaha nice.

What do u wan to know? Newschool basically started when kids wanted to get away from all the rules of racing and moguls. Then snowboards built terrian parks and skiers began hitting them. Now we go bigger and spin more, and flip more. Thats the basic history or did you wanna know the site history?

matt harvey started it for like news and talking purposes so people knew what was going on in the freeski world and so they could talk about skiing, it evolved from there to pretty much the same thing but with many more features
