Replying to Zombie panic source

for those of you who still have steam accounts and any game which uses the source engine (HL2, orange box, CS:S, etc...), I highly suggest you download the mod Zombie Panic Source. It is extremely addictive and probably the most fun i have had playing an FPS online since Natural Selection for the original Half-Life.

the basics of the game are as follows:

the round starts with 20 or so survivors and 1 or more zombies (depending on the # of survivors). the goal of the game for the survivors is to simply survive, while the goal of the zombies is to eat survivor brains. when a survivor is killed by a zombie, he now spawns as a zombie. there is a carrier zombie who can infect humans and is stronger/faster. the survivors have to survive and kill zombies until their lives run out (they start with ~20 lives but any time a human is killed they gain a live)

they greatest part of the game is the teamwork that is required for the survivors to actually win (and it is a rare occasion that they do win, you need 3-4 good survivors who work together, along with 10-15 survivors who can not die for as long as possible). a human only has 5 inventory slots, and the more he carries, the slower he is, so it is key to share your loot with your teammates.

you can barricade rooms with various objects around the map, but you always have to leave yourseelf an escape route because its only a matter of time before the zombies group up and swarm you, breaking down your barricade in the process.

there are also maps with various objectives that must be completed by the survivors to "win" the round.
