Camera lense options

alright so i got a sony dcr-trv340 (and thankyou for those of you who helped me figure out how to upload footage from my cam to comp) anyways im looking into getting a couple different lenses for this season for filming skiing, i know fish eye and wide angle are pretty popular but i was wondering what are some other kinds, and what kind afit on this camera. i posted to the picture to help you guys figure out what kind of lenses will fit. thanks a lot NS

This camera doesn't have interchangeable lense capabilities, so all you are going to be able to do is purchase adapters for the camera. There aren't too many choices available. Fish eye, wide angle, and Telephoto are pretty much your only choices, and unless you really need zoom power, telephoto isn't all that useful.

Just make sure you check the thread size on your camera before you buy any lenses. Camcorders have many different thread diameters, so there isn't really a 'universal' size.

ahh ok, any idea how i can check my thread size? and about how much a fisheye and wide angle would be?

Check your manual, or google search the camera model and + thread size. ie 'sony ____ thread size'

Decent lens adapters are usually at least 100 dollars. the 20-30 dollar ones are garbage.

When it comes to a small camera like his, you can find a decent one for around 40 bucks or so.

probably true. just avoid the super deals that are like 2 lenses or 30 bucks, that also come with filters and a bunch of other crap.

word how much are filters anyways because ive seen some pretty cool ones and have been thinking about getting a couple but again not to sure on prices, and do they just hook on to my lense or do they screw in the threads?
