Ep vs sfb, or suggestions

Yeah I searched and I'm still undecided on which ski is for me. I'm 5'11 170lbs and I want a soft playful powder ski that I can take into the park sometimes. I want to be able to do mad butters and presses with my ski, I heard that the new bacons are stiffer, how stiff are they, and are they still super playful? I've never ridden a a rockered ski before so I don't know how they perform, would the ep pro hold up on bigger park jumps? Anyone have any suggestions for a different ski? Thanks.

i would say ep pro for mad butters and park, bacons are more of an all around ski whereas ep pro's are for playing around in pow and park. they're ridiculously soft so don't hold up as well for bigger jumps but they should do fine. also the new bacons are not stiffer according to info@lineskis.com, it's the same ski

the ep is basically the flex of the original ar5 - basically buttered spaghetti...
i got my bacons and they are mid flex which i like. i was riding/flexing them on my shitty carpet downstairs and they are definately not stiff, but not like eps. but... i'm only 5'9 130
also... eps aren't going to hold up on big jumps. you'll just wash out like nobody's buisness. it will be the epitomy of sketchy.
basically i would recommend bacons, because of what i've already explained, but eps wouldn't be a bad choice
sorry. rant/

Cool thanks for the help, I'm now leaning towards bacons. Does anyone know if bacons are softer than athems? I already have anthems

Dang, are the bacons still a buttery playful ski? Could anyone who has ridden bacons tell me how well they butter and press?

I might be able to help a little bit here...
I have '09 Bacons and rode them the second half of last season. They ski incredibly well all over the whole mountain. I reviewed them, check under my profile and you'll see the way I feel about them. I haven't had a chance to get on the Ep pros, so I can't compare the two skis.
I do have anthem though, and as far as the comparison between them and bacons go. All over skiing, the bacons out perform. The anthems get a little noodley for me at speeds, where the bacons can hold their own. Now as far as playing around though, and butters. There is nothing that I can do with the anthems, that I can't with the bacons.
