So after seeing countless threads ragging on mccain and palin, i came up with a few things that obama is all about, maybe it will change some of ur minds on voting for him, maybe not? I just thought id share some of this with u. Try not to make any arguements, just read it and post ur opinions, and lemme know if it has changed ur mind at all

-voted no on notifying parents of minors who get out of state abortions. personally im against abortions all together, but if i had a daughter and she went and got an abortion and i wasnt notified about it, i would not be happy about that.

-supports affirmative action in colleges and governments quotas. IMO, affrimative action was great for minorities a while back, but cmon now, i really dont think its necessary to give them advantages anymore, whatever happened to us being all equal?

-says he will deal with street level drug dealing at a minimum wage affair.

-admitted to his use of marijuana and cocaine in both highschool and college

- his religious views seem very sketchy, and seems like hes hiding something (which most if not all politicians do hide certain things)

- says after being elected his first goal would be to meet with all muslim nations....why?

- opposes the patriot act

- voted to allow lawsuits against gun manufacturers

- supports universal healthcare

- voted yes on providing habeas corpus for Guantanamo prisoners

- supports granting drivers liscense to ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS!? is that serious?

- supports extending welfare to ILLGEAL IMMIGRANTS!? i dont want my hard earned money going to anyone trying to take advantage of our countries system

- voted yes on comprehensive immigration reform

- voted yes on allowing ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS to participate in social security

- opposed to any efforts to privatize social security and instead, supports incrasing the amount of tax paid into Soc. Sec. yes, he wants to increase taxes

- voted no on repealing the alternative minimum tax which now hits the middle income brackets, another tax increase

- wants to raise the capital gains tax, another tax increase

i just found alot of this interesting, and thought some of u might as well

Seriously, politics are not totally black and white. If you don't agree with a yes or a no vote then a present vote is the only way to stand up for what you believe in.

lol ok kid. im talking about the united states and the middle east. not the history of the middle east vs the middle east. i can tell you all about that if you want. my great grandfather from my moms side was 100% lebanese. he didnt die until i was like 12 and he told me all about middle eastern history. thats first hand knowledge not what your high school teacher that has never been to the middle east has taught you.

just keep in mind that posting something like that, which is clearly biased and you clearly pulled out of your ass, and asking people to read it with an open mind and allow it to skew their beliefs, isnt very open-minded on your part. you have a clear agenda in posting something that contains some borderline ridiculous statements (accusing him of being a muslim and implying thered be a problem if he was one, judging him based on what he did as a teenager, asserting that the United States government should submit to Evangelical idealism). get off your ass and do some research about what the man's really about. the smearing shit from both sides is disgusting and you're directly contributing to it.

ok, so when did i "accuse" him of being muslim, all i said was his religious beliefs seem sketchy thats all, nothing about him being muslim was mentioned...so dont try n change my words around, and no i didnt pull this shit outta my ass, these r HIS views on these topics

read his motherfucking website. sorry, but i trust what he actually says about his policies more than i trust a biased third party interpretation of them. im not asking you to like him. you could have talked about his actual policies and made fair arguments against them without putting horse shit on toast and feeding it to a bunch of kids on a skiing forum.

and if youre really going to say putting an opinionated statement about his religion right before talking about his proposal to enter diplomacy with muslim nations and lacing both statements with negative connotations doesnt imply that you think hes a muslim and you think thats a bad thing, you should really reexamine your fundamental knowledge of the english language and its usage.

Way to demonstrate how well off your family is and how little perspective you have there. Do you have any idea how many rich kids I've heard this from, only to see them go right ahead and fail completely? Umm, how about all of the western involvement in the middle east over the past 700+ years. You don't think a long history of western aggression and imperialism has affected relations? It may not have always been the united states specifically, but it is still hugely significant.

1. An Englishman whose profession is the teaching of American history and who has been doing it for years and years, or

lots of people have first hand knowledge. some people have first hand knowledge that black people are niggers. some people have first hand knowledge that the world would be a better place if everyone tried shrooms and took a new outlook on life.

what im trying to say is that uninformed people with strong opinions based on closed-system personal experiences are pretty useless when it comes to straight unbiased information. if i go to college and study lebanon and maybe read shit from both lebanese scholars and israeli scholars and dedicate my life to hearing all sides in a quest for impartial truth, i have a right to say i know more about something than your grandfather. and you also said he died when you were 12. not to put you down, im sure it was hard for you and you loved him as much as everybody loves their grandparents, but you were only 12. 12 year olds dont understand complex world issues like middle-eastern conflicts that go back thousands of years.

they arent in trouble at all there just isnt very much extra money...

majority of the money i make goes into a savings account, im doing the same thing my family did for me. save for future generations so when we hit hard times like we have now they dont have to worry.

how much he supports ACORN? he represented them as an attorney, and forced the state to follow federal voter access laws, but he never worked for/with them in any capacity.

first of all. ive seen sources that contradict that article, saying that he did not head that acorn committee. Second, i fail to see how that suddenly makes him a nutcase, because he supported some of those programs. Basically you guys just seem desperate to find some tie to him to turn him into this communist monster. Sorry you dont get a more thought out response but my paper for history is taking my brain right now, not this.

Lets be real, the "haves" fuck over the have nots all the time, this is a somewhat true statement

- The ends justify the means: This is a war, baby.

Obviously not a good philosophy, but you dont see him off preaching to poor people telling them to burn down peoples homes or something

- “An organizer working for change...does not have a fixed truth - truth to him is relative and changing.” Rules for Radicals (pg. 10-11): Morality isn’t a set of fixed principles but changes as popular consensus changes. (If you’re worried that this gives someone like Hitler moral credibility, you’d be right…that is, if Hitler wins the war. But since he didn’t, he’s the devil.)

Of course morality isnt a set of fixed principles, if it was slavery would still be considered moral, and women wouldnt be able to vote.

- The organizer (unencumbered by “truth) must gain the trust of people by looking and sounding just like them. “All effective actions,” Alinsky writes in his Rules, “require the passport of morality.” If the “people” are church-goers, the organizer had better go to church, too.

Duh. Would you vote for someone that had nothing in common with you? probably not, you have to relate to the community you organize.

While the values of Alinsky are socialist, taken to less of an extreme they could benefit the extremely poor.

Overall, obviously some of his ideas are stupid, and horrible, but others at least have good ideas behind them. But he is nowhere directly tied to obama, its always through degrees of separation.

Not that it matters, you wont hear any of this, because your convinced hes a communist whos going to make the poor tear the rich down and run the country into the ground.

^ yea I know but I heard rumor that the RNC is telling conservative media stations to hold back or something so they can pound closer to the election...and obviously the left wing stations wont talk about it either...And another question is, why wont Obama show his legal papers...This could be a very corrupt election
