hello, park freaks.
is it just myth or ,say, 10cm length difference really makes diffenrence in way u do pipes and big air?
when u think about it, actual base that touches snow is even smaller than 10cm too.
if u had owned 2 diff length twintips, how were ur experiences?
sorry for such a long intro.

I've found that my style is at least 10x better with a longer ski...
But that's me, some people like a short ski cause they are pussies and are ski blader wanna-bes...

for myself i buy all my skis in the mid 70's range, for myself it gives me good all mountain and powder capability but also if i want they're not to long to go into the park or whatever, like i had 720's 2 years ago, they're rock skis now they're 170's, my pistols last year were 179, and my scrath bc's this year are 176, so all in the same range, i did have some 181 madtrix and they were to long i didn't like them

I pick my skiis more based on weight. I have skiis going from 168s to 179s. I have some rock skiis that are short like 145cm but those I bought for $25

dude i think that if have the same model/make ski in different sizes that u wont notice the difference much. i think that construction is more to do with it, for example how much weight is at either tip of the ski. this would definately account 4 spinning and pop. but not carving. like the new 1080's are so dam thin at the tip so u can spin good, but r shite on ice and flap like fuck on a drop in and i also think they dont pop 4 shit. but i am 180lbs.

Get a ski that fits your style of skiing and size. A longer skis is better, in my opinion, though. If your 5'5' don't get 181's because everyone is telling you to go with longer skis. Go witht he ski that is a little bit above your head or head height and youll be good to go.

I'm with Del-Gato on this one. Swing weight plays a bigger factor for me in the park that overall length. I ride 165 Candide's and 185 Pocket Rockets. My style looks sooo much better with the Rockets and landing is easier but grabs, manuverability, and consistency in spinning is easier on the Candides. Candides suck on everything else for me outside of the park cause their flex is too soft for my skiing. Rockets kick ass all around.

Swing weight is important but in many cases the affect of swing weight can be more mental. I know personally that being on 145s I would feel like a retard, and being on 180s I would feel awkward. I ride 168-179 skiis all different weights, all different puroposes. also every day on snow I feel different so one ski wont be the right ski everyday

If you want to go bigger, get a longer wider ski. It will give you more surface area to land on and increase your fudge factor. However, a shorter ski has a much lighter swing weight and will let you faster, ski more responsively and be more nimble on rails.

I ride 177 teneightys, and last year I rode 185 Pocket Rockets. I didn't notice any tifference except the PRs seemed more stable in the air, and on landings. I think bigger is better.
