So,I saw claim yesterday...and for the first time of my life I think I've ever been stooked to go out and ski when I'm watching bc and bigmountain skiing. Because before I've just thought that it was boring to watch. but not this time though. And I think Shane McConkey had one of the best parts in the movie.I don't think that Claim is the greatest skimovie ever, since I haven't seen Turbo and some other of this years movies. But I can say that Claim is one of the Top5 skimovies that I've seen.Soooooooo Do you guys think that Claim is the greatest ski movie EVER? :]

Is it really that good because people gave it like 3/5 and the other films 5/5. I am stuck between claim, hunting yeti, reasons, and maybe turbo

I donno about Claim, but Turbo is way better than both of those other films. Get Lucky had incredible backcountry segments too. I also dislike watching backcountry footage but that movie was a different story, got me so stoked.

I really liked claim. The skiing was dope, the big mountain was ridiculous, and there was quite a few good laughs. Only thing that brought it down was the lack of rails which was pretty pathetic.
I'd give it a 4/5

yeah Turbo is fucking insane!
usually i am not super impressed with Level 1 movies because I find the editing monotonous and the music choice unappealing. but Turbo pretty much nailed it in both aspects, as well as not only filming bangers but getting some cool little shit in there too.
Will Wesson middle rail support slide?! double you tee eff

Claim wasn't bad but it definitely wasn't amazing. It's definitely the last choice of movie that I'll get this season. It was funny, and the riding was good, but the music, angles, and huge amounts of big mountain didn't work for me.
44 days is a way better movie than claim, and that was a low budget team movie that was 20 mins long.
Everyone has been super stoked on pretty much every movie this year but claim. It's a standard MSP movie that doesn't really do anything new. If you liked any of the other MSP movies and would be stoked to watch them again with different riders, buy claim.

Thank you! Finnaly someone liked it. Everyone has been hating on msp this year but I thought this movie was sick. But then again im not a fan of to many urbans in movies so msp kindof hits the spot for me.

Wow, a bunch of kids bitching about too much powder and backcountry, and not enough rails...
Go fucking rollerblade.

its only because rails are more visually appealing to most skiiers. Backcountry is more fun to ski, by a lot, but when it comes to watching someone else do something, id rather watch some sweet pretzel combination on a handrail than someone taking turns in powder.

i though claim should have been called
claim: the worst ski movie ever!
the movie was way too long with no variety. i don't mind backcountry shots but that is what the whole movie was. there was about 4 minutes of park skiing with 130 of same old stuff in the backcountry. don't waste your money on this movie

You realize this site was started for "newschoolers", meaning park and jibbing and rails right?
It's all skiing, so why don't you stop bitching and accept that skiers can have their own personal taste.
I personally like seeing backcountry jibbing, hand drags over pillows, smooth spins and stylie BC booters.
Others like urban, park, big mountain, pipe, whatever. It's all skiing and it's all personal taste.

Yup, skiing backcountry is definitely more fun than skiing park, but watching kids shred rails is way more fun than watching backcountry.
