If you build another, or any one else does use these plans, and sclae them up to 16' long.
Go to Ramp Plans DOT org
click ramps
click the funboaxes ect link @ top
then click on the first entry in that subsection
then a page will load that will have plans for every good sturdy rail i have built.
I Just Built a 16foot double barrel with these plans, and it took roughly 4 hours and 60 dollars to build.
I built it essentially alone and in experience having only two legs about two feet from each end respectivly is the best bet, it bounces a little in the middle on stomped switch ups, but heres the benifit.
THE LEGS ARE INTERCHANGEBLE-----Meaning that you can make a 6"tall leg and a 4' tall leg and have a huge elevator, or have any combination of down rail, handicapped size rail, flat bar, practice low rail for spin ons and what not... by far this is the best rail i have ever made, and if people made and sold longer 2x4's I would build a three legged bohemouth for a huge urban, cannon rail, 4-6' high flatbar, but the 16' is the perfect length for combinations and learning.
Build this one if you have the money and desire for perfection, because it is a very dynamic rail to build, and requires alot of clamping and leveling. Well Worth every penny and minute of work.
