Bindings for my Rockers/Jibs..

I know there are millions of these. But at least I provided all the information. I am 5'8-9. 135-140 pounds. 308mm BSL and i use a DIN of 6.5-9 depending on what I am skiing. I am a strong skier and I ski hard. These will be mounted on Reno Jibs or Reno Rockers.
I am thinking of..
4frnt/Tyrolia Deadbolt 12 - $125
4frnt/Tyrolia Deadbolt 15 - $195
Look Px12 Jibs - $150
Marker Griffon - $200
I am looking for a reliable binding with good retention, but without any unnecessary expenditure.
I have a pair of PX12 Jibs already but I have had a few pre-releases when I could have rescued it. But I can just up the DIN.
Also are the Tyrolia Peak bindings the same as the new 4frnt Deadbolts?

the new deadbolts are sick and yes they are a tyrolia binding interestingly enough Amplid are using this new binding as well. They have ditched the diagnol heel release and put in a flat afd on the 15 din version which is also the same as a head mojo 15, bomber binding.
Dont like griffons/jesters personally because the track has to be so far forward to get the correct fwd pressure, same with rossi/look/dynastar, just not a big fan.
Check out the new salomon sth14 if you can find em cheap.

I think I can't get STH so cheaply. If i did, I would probably be ok with an STH12.. Anyone think I would need to go up to a 14/15/16 DIN?

well if youre mounting them at 6.5-9 then i seriously recommend not getting anything with 15 din. Bindings perform to their best at the exact middle of the din. I personally got jibs too and i got salomon z12s, and im mounting them at 8 din which is perfect for that binding because the din im pretty sure is 4-12 and 8 is right in the middle of that. with a 15 din binding i think youd have to mount at eith 9.5 or ten to perfrom at its best.

generally speaking the higher din bindings use better components not just stronger springs. for example the salomon z12 and sth 12/14 are different the sth has a stronger toe piece and a different heel track with an extra screw. The jester has metal toe wings whereas the baron has plastic wings. The higher end rossi bindings are stronger than the 12 din bindings and so on. I have seen lost of broken salomon z12 and s912 bindings but none from their sth range. Personally speaking I think its better to pay a bit extra for something which will last longer.
Running your din in the middle of the range doesnt matter too much until you max it out ie a 12 din on a 12 din binding, for instance an 11 din would be fine.
Also its good to get a more burlier binding so if your cheap binding does break you dont have to remount the ski because you bought a new binding. Salomon sth 12 are bomber as are the deadbolt 15. If you pick some of these bindings up in your hands you will feel the differences in quality between them and their cheaper counterparts.

bump. definitely leaning towards the STH 12 if i can get a few more positive reviews. Has anyone had problems with the toepiece? Is it worth stepping it up to the S14 Driver??

my concern being the 3 hole toe piece (binding pullout?) and the shorter wings (bad experience with shitty s710 bindings with those short toes)..

Its pretty much between STH 12 and Marker Griffons.. Which has less pre-releases?
